Qumran Caves, Ein Gedi & Dead Sea

About:

Depart from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and drive to the Judean desert. We will decent to lowest point on earth and start our tour with a visit to the Qumran caves. We will explore the site and understand how the Essenes lives and what was written in the ancient scrolls that were found in the area.

From there we will continue to hike in Ein Gedi natural reserve this beautiful oasis is a source of living for many animals, flora and human. During the hike we’ll refresh ourselves in the cool fresh water.

We will visit the AHAVA factory and visitor center that is situated in Kibuttz Mizpe Shalem.

The End of the day we will spend in Mineral beach at the Dead Sea; mud, sulfur pools and of course the unique sensation of floating in the Dead Sea (bring a newspaper).

Essential: hat & sunscreen (summer time) warm clothes (winter time), comfortable shoes, water, cameras, water sandals, changing clothes , towels & bathing suits.
